Welcome to Little Tater Toys Childcare home. I am so excited to begin working with you and your family!
My name is Mary Coffman and I am the owner of Littler Tater Tots Childcare. I have been in business since January 2014 after seeing a need in the community for quality childcare.
I grew up in Ankeny, Iowa and moved to West Des Moines after I graduated. I worked for major Insurance and Investment companies over ten years including Metlife, ING and Equitrust.
I met my husband Josh (who is also one of our assistants) in February of 2013 and moved to Coon Rapids Iowa. Josh has two children from a previous marriage named Genesis and Tristan. They are here from time to time. Josh and I had a son together in 2016 named Link.
Later we moved to Audubon Iowa in 2017, which is where we now reside.

Child Development Associate Credential Training

The CDA National Credentialing Program is a professional development opportunity for early educators working with children ages birth to 5 years old to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities in the early childhood education field. The CDA credentialing program assesses Candidates using multiple sources evidence, including an exam, observation and professional portfolio with resources and competency statements prepared by the Candidate.
Childcare Provider
Since January 2014
My first childcare home was located in Coon Rapids and was initially set up to provide care for my relatives who were unable to find quality care for their children. Since then I have moved to Audubon, and worked with numerous families and children of different ages and backgrounds.

Our Assistants
Michelle Neal
Michelle Neal is the main assistant. She is also my sister in law and best friend. You can expect to see her here about 3-5 days a week.
Michelle lives in Glidden Iowa with her son Damian and daughter Kimberly. Michelle has 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren! She is a goldmine of information when it comes to children of all ages. Michelle is a wonderful asset to our business; the children adore her as she is just a big kid herself. Michelle loves children and treats them all as her own.
Michelle love penguins and is a sucker for candy. She enjoys nature, camping and being with her family
Kathy Titus
Kathy Titus is another assistant we have, she is also my mom! Kathy lives in Dallas Center, Iowa. The kids especially love her because she is the ultimate grandma figure in the home. Children are naturally drawn to her and she easily gives in and will cuddle and hold them for as long as they want. She enjoys reading the kids books and teaching them new skills. It is common to find Kathy sitting on the floor literally covered in children while she reads a book or enjoys a movie with them.
Kathy loves books, Tom Petty and being a grandma.
Katlyn Bartleson
Katlyn is another assistant. She is Michelle’s oldest daughter (and my niece) and the mother to 5 great little kids. Katlyn is a Breast-feeding consultant and a CNA. She is my go-to person when it comes to the littlest tater tots. She is extremely patient and understanding with children.
Katlyn enjoys camping and being with her family.
